There has been a Deutschlandstipendium at RUB since 2011. General information on the Deutschlandstipendium is available, along with a welcome from Bettina Stark-Watzinger, the minister of science and education.
The German government assists private contributors in funding scholarships for young people with extraordinary academic or school records and a remarkable dedication to their community or social concerns within the scope of this scholarship program. The selecting process also considers social, familial, and individual variables.
- great social commitment and exceptional academic achievement;
- Funding is available for postgraduate or second degree programs in addition to first degree programs, including master’s degree programs.
- Students in the clinical stage of their degree program will be given preference; the preliminary medical examination (Physikum) grade is taken into account throughout the selection process.
Recipients of the scholarship get 300 euros each month (October through September) for a year. The German government provides the remaining 150 euros, with the remaining 150 coming from a private donor. As a result, a scholarship recipient gets 3,600 euros year.
