On Monday,The Nigeria Immigration Services opened its portal for the 2023 recruitment for interested citizens and Applicants across the Country.

The Recuitment is open to apllicants who wants to apply for the Civil Defence,correctional,Fire and Immigratiion Service Board,according to the statement on the official website of the Service.

12 Crucial things to know inorder to Make a Successful Application for Nigeria Immigration Service: 

Start and end Dates of Application

The Application began on January 16,2023 and will end on January 30,2023 which is a Duration of two weeks.

Method Of Application

All NIS Applications will be carried out online while interested Candidates are required to loh on to the Portal to Fill out and make the submission of the application Form.
Candidates are advised to make a printout of the Referee forms which must be submitted during Screening.

Positions Available and their Qualifications

First Category: Superintendent Cadre:

 1. Superintendent of Immigration (SI) compass 11 professional (Doctors): 

All Applicants must possess a first degree in MBBS from a recognised institution of higher learning and an NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

2.  Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI) CONPASS 10 professional (pharmacists):

 All Applicants must possess a first degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institution of higher learning and an NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

3. Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI) CONPASS 08:

 All Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma or its equivalent from a recognised institution.

Second Category: Inspectorate Cadre:

Assistant Inspector Immigration (All) General Duty CONPASS 06:

All Applicants must be holders of a National Diploma, NCE or Advance NABTEB obtained from recognised institutions.

Third Category: Assistant Cadre:

1. Immigration Assistant; (IA I11) CONPASS 03 General Duty: 

All Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, GCE or its equivalent with a minimum of 4 credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English and Mathematics.

2. Immigration Assistant III (IA III CONPASS 03 Artisans:

 a) motor driver 

b) Mechanic: 

All Applicants must be holders of ordinary level SSCE or its equivalents and appropriate trade test certificate.

Applicant Nationality

According to the NIS,all Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.

Documents Required for Application

a)National Identity Number NIN

b)E-copy of certificates and requisite qualifications in the Application Section.

c)Certificates of Medical fitness issued by Government recognised Hospitals.

Test of Drugs or other Substances

All Applicants are required to do a drug test inorder to be qualified for the recruitment.

Financial Stability

Even though NIS did not lay emphasis on the amount to have for its financial status,it said any of its applicants must not be “Financially Embarassed”.

Age Limits

Application Ranges from the Age of 18 years through 30 years with the expectation of Pharmacists and Doctors who must be more than age 35.

Computer Literacy

This is an additional Advantage for Applicants.

Chest Measurement

This features only apply to Men and must not be less than 0.87.

Failure to submit certificate

According to NIS,certificate or qualification not declared or accepted during documentation should not be accepted after the Recruitment.

Disqualification

“Candidates with multiple Applications will be disqualified”,said NIS.

Examination Mode

The Recruitment exam mode shall be a Computer Based Test known as CBT for shortlisted cnadidates and the appropriate time and Date will be Disclosed when Ready.
